Description
The first Mirage appeared at Le Mans during the tests in April 1967. This is the first prototype created by John Wyer Automotive Engineering that, instead of producing a new model, prefers to upgrade the GT40, which had proven itself in endurance racing before Ford retired from the World Brand Championship.
The #14 Mirage M1 retired after 59 laps. The #15 Mirage M1 is the eighth car to retire after 29 laps.
